The name of the winery is inspired by the fable of "The Fox and the Grapes", by Félix María Samaniego. It was born from the restlessness, enthusiasm and passion for this land of Agustín Maillo, in order to recover the great winemaking past of the beautiful Sierra de Francia and its native grape variety: La Rufete, creating unique wines, with which to show the different nuances obtained from centenary vineyards, planted between 1925 and 1950, located on terraces sustainably reclaimed from the mountains in clay, granite and slate soils.

A visit to the Wine Museum is an experience that deserves to be completed with the heritage and gastronomic wealth of its surroundings. The museum maintains promotional agreements with the main tourist attractions in the area in the form of joint tickets that you can enjoy during your visit. We also have a proposal to visit the museum plus food or snack at our collaborating restaurant La Panera de Morales de Toro.
The visits consist of a guided walk through the vineyards giving information about our way of treating the vines and the land. We then visit the winemaking room and the ageing room explaining the winemaking and ageing process followed by a tasting of four of our wines with local artisan products such as goat's or sheep's cheese and salchichón de la serranía and olives from Ronda.
