The experience begins with a guided tour of the historic center of Villanueva de la Jara, exploring landmarks such as the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, the Convent of Santa Ana, and the Town Hall, which showcase centuries of history and tradition, and where the figure of Teresa de Jesús becomes the protagonist.

After immersing in the town’s rich past, visitors will head to Bodegas Moratalla to learn about their winemaking process, from vineyard to bottle. The experience concludes with a tasting of wines made from Bobal and Macabeo grapes, providing a true sensory journey through the region’s flavors.

Urban Cellar

We will take a tour of the winemaking and ageing facilities of the urban winery, taking a closer look at the particularities of artisan work, ageing in clay amphorae, foudres or barrels. We will also see how we carry out the manual work of labelling and sealing bottles, which is typical of small production wines. We will finish with a tasting of four wines accompanied by an aperitif of Riojan pork loin and our own organic olive oil with bread from a wood-fired oven. An emotional visit to enjoy the culture of wine, with the charm of the small and artisanal.
