The FUNGITOURISM CENTER is a didactic and audiovisual space where you can learn all the secrets about cultivated mushrooms. In addition to the history, origins and evolution of cultivation, you will learn how they are in their natural environment and we will get into the process of cultivated mushrooms, how the seed is inoculated or how compost is made, its nutritional value and its recycling process. We will also learn to differentiate the Asian varieties (shiitake and eryngii) and taste the raw product in the crops.
An explanatory trail that runs through the most significant points of the Barrio de Bodegas de Pradejón, leads the visitor to an old cellar used years ago for the cultivation of mushrooms.
Visiting this museumized cellar-calado, which is part of our architectural heritage related to the culture of wine and mushrooms, will help to understand and appreciate the peculiar economic history of the village.
