Visit of one of the few wineries in use with jars from the beginning of the 20th century, escorted by its owner and winemaker, with wine tasting of Gewúrztraminer, VIognier, Airén, Merlot Without Sulfite, Tempranillo and orange wine varietals, mostly made in clay jars.
On this wine tourism experience, you will be welcomed by César Velasco, a passionate owner and, who will escorted you throughout the tour.
You will visit the facilities of this small family winery, learning how César Velasco elaborate his young wines in a respectful and sustainable way, honoring ancestral methods.
More than 100 years ago, there were over 100 wineries of this kind; today, only a few remain, and this one stays true to history and continues to be in use.
The visit begins in the large courtyard, where the pavement is made from the bases of 50 old clay jars. Then, you will enter the room where Orange wines are produced in 200-year-old clay vessels from the family estate.
Next, you will step into the winery’s impressive main hall. Here, you will see 54 large clay jars of 250 arrobas (4,000 liters each), all of the same size, crafted by 18 different potters in the early 20th century. César will share with you how these giant vessels contribute to the authentic aging and refinement process, giving life to our Gewürztraminer, Viognier, Airén, Merlot (Sulfur-Free), and Tempranillo wines.
To finish, in a warm and welcoming setting, you will learn to appreciate the qualities of our different varieties and taste authentic Manchego sheep cheese.

This winery offers visitors a unique historical account of the peak period in grape cultivation, the era of the renowned white and golden wines from La Seca. Located beneath the dance floor 'Buenos Aires,' it represents the model of an 18th-century underground historical factory known as Bodega Vivienda or Domestic Winery. In 2022, the City Council, along with the heritage community and academic research, restored the winery as a visitable space.
