Vintage Visit

The “Vintage Visit” experience of Bodegas Fariña includes a visit to the vineyard, a grape harvest workshop, the grape harvester's lunch in the vineyard, a visit to the winery and the Art Museum-Exhibition of the First and a traditional food pairing in the winery with 5 dishes and 5 wines from the winery. 

If you like the world of wine and want to know its production process, this is the best time. On the occasion of the harvest, at Bodegas Fariña we organize special visits so that wine lovers can learn first-hand, from the collection of the grapes in the vineyard to the production in the production and aging area of ​​the winery.

Led by the director of development and innovation of Bodegas Fariña, Manu Fariña, third generation of the Fariña family dedicated to wine, visitors will be able to learn first-hand about the history of Toro wine and this winery with 80 years of history, as well as the careful process of making its wines.

The visits take place in small groups. Limited places.

“HARVEST EXPERIENCES” ITINERARY – FROM STRAIN TO GLASS:

• 11:00 a.m.: Reception at our winery in Toro and departure to the vineyard.

• We will begin the guided tour of our Aldeanuevica vineyard, a plot of 140 hectares, including 72 hectares. of vines of the Tinta de Toro variety. There, Manu Fariña will explain the singularities and differences between different grape varieties and a harvest workshop will take place, so that visitors can harvest their own strain and can take home a basket of grapes as a souvenir of their visit.

During the visit to the vineyard, an aperitif will be served, the “Vendimiador's Lunch”, based on grapes, Zamorano cheese and bread, paired with different Fariña wines.

 

Guided visit to the Toro winery to learn about the winemaking process and visit to the Fariña Museum, composed of the Temporary Exhibition of abstract painting “Primero” (organized annually with a selection of works presented to the Primero National Painting Competition) and its own collection of tools and old winemaking machinery. The Museum is full of unique spaces, with barrels and flying strains, or light hoses that simulate the filling of tanks.
